Carol and Ken Adelman founded Movers & Shakespeares in 1997 to teach executive leadership and critical business skills through Shakespeare’s greatest works. To date, they have delivered more than 300 practical, interactive and fun training sessions to a diverse client base including corporations, universities, government agencies and non-profits.
Carol Adelman is President of Movers & Shakespeares. As a Presidential appointee in the George H.W. Bush Administration, she directed foreign aid to promote free elections and civic institutions in Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe when the Wall fell. Carol is a Visiting Professor at Indiana University’s School of Philanthropy, and director of the Center for Global Prosperity at the Hudson Institute. She holds both master’s and doctorate degrees from Johns Hopkins University, and a master’s degree from the Georgetown University. She has published in Foreign Affairs, the New York Times, Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal, and serves on the board of the American Shakespeare Center.
